The Security Officer is also responsible for identifying, documenting and communicating safety and risk issues that may impact the operation and reputation of the organization. The role will perform a variety of security, safety and service support activities as delegated by the management team including but not limited to: service call (SC), entrance coordination (SEC), emergency department operations (ED), security operations center support (SOCS), patient watch (SPWO), valet, Ronald McDonald support (RMH), off-site security support (OSS), lot patrol (LP) guest services (GS), special events support (SES).
Required Education/Experience: - High School Diploma or equivalent - At least years (3) years of security service or customer service experience OR Associate degree and two (2) years of customer service experience - Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) training program within 90 days - Code Purple training within 90 days - CASPER training within 90 days - Wheelchair Van training within 12 months of hire - Car seat Safety training within 12 months of hire - Autism training within 12 months of hire Required Credentials: - CPR certification within 90 days Preferred: - Associate's degree in Criminal Justice or related field - International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Basic exam completion - Advanced computer skills and knowledge - Experience working in healthcare environment - Exceptional customer service experience - Per the driver's license requirement noted below, must have a driving record acceptable to Risk Management - Safe driver certification within 6 months of hire
